Dear GEA Community, Game Masters, Adventure Guides, and Volunteers,
We want to celebrate YOU! Join us for a GEA Community Gathering & Volunteer Appreciation on Lamoke Lake! The “Lake Edition” Board Game Convention & Geek Adventure Camp won’t have vendors or office hours, however we will have our Board Game Library, door prizes, community puzzle, miniature painting paints and brushes, LARP lessons & special quest, boating, archery, axe throwing, and we’ll be playing “Blood on the Clocktower” every evening! We would love to grab a tabletop game with you! Bring your favorite book, a new game you are creating, painting canvas, boat, fishing gear, lawn games, or anything else that you think would be fun to enjoy the beginning of this Fall season on the lake with us!
Please RSVP as soon as you are thinking you might be able to attend so that the camp can plan meals.
This Great Escape on the Lakes “Lake Edition” will include planning for GEOTL 2026 in August. GEOTL is our annual fun-for-the-whole-family tabletop board game convention and geek adventure camp located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY every Summer in August. Anyone interested in participating will be able to share with us their thoughts and feedback.
New for 2026 will be a tabletop board game design contest – rewarding things like a free mentoring session with published industry experts, such as Rob Dougherty, CEO of Wise Wizard Games! In addition to tabletop games, LARP, and RPG’s, Great Escape on the Lakes includes collaboration with board game designers, workshops, attendee-led events, and board game playtesting.

"I want to thank you guys for everything you do for this event. It has sparked an interest in Dylan that I didn't even realize he was so interested in. He has even started an after-school D&D club at his school and is a proud little DM!" ~ Amy L
