What is Great Escape on the Lakes?
We are an annual fun-for-the-whole-family tabletop board game convention and geek adventure camp located in the very heart of the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY. In addition to tabletop games, LARP, and RPG’s, other activities include primitive woodcraft, axe throwing, climbing wall, finger lakes nature trails, wading creek, archery, miniature painting, crafts such as leatherworking, ceramics, and tie dye, disc golf, pickleball, corn hole, GaGa ball, table tennis, giant lego construction zone, basketball, volleyball, and more.
The Y at Watson Woods is a 400-acre family event and retreat center in New York’s stunning Southern Finger Lakes region. Corning, Watkins Glen, and Hammondsport are just minutes away, serving as the perfect places to enjoy Seneca Lake, Keuka Lake, Wineries & Cider Houses, Watkins Glen International Speedway, Watkins Glenn State Park, the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning’s Gaffer District world famous for glass blowing, and the natural beauty and rolling hills of the Southern Tier.

Yes! Refunds, less a 10% convenience fee, are provided up until Sat, July 1st. All purchases are final after Sat, July 1st.
Is there an age limit?
Community is super important to us and creating opportunities for groups of friends, families, and people of all ages to come out and enjoy time together is one of our key focuses for this event.

Is alcohol allowed?
The Y at Watson Woods has a liquor license. Due to the liquor license, no outside drinks may be brought into the Main Lodge (Castle). We hope to have mead available for sale at the Grand Feast on Saturday night. Please use discretion while drinking, as this is a family friendly event.
Are there local wineries, craft breweries, cider mills, and the like?
Yes! There are many local craft and small batch establishments, as well as, well known wineries up and down the various lakes. Many offer tours and flights to sample and learn about the unique growing environment provided in the Finger Lakes region.
How should I leave my lodge rooms and tent site?
We endeavor to see ourselves as guests. Please help us maintain our great community reputation by always leaving the facility and grounds “better” than when we arrived. Please dispose of all trash in appropriate trash cans throughout event and prior to leaving.
