Play-and-Win
Great Escape on the Lakes has lots of games for participants to play for a chance to win. The games have been donated by game publishers for your enjoyment. We hope you have a good time playing them at the convention.
Below you will find instructions on how to participate in the Play-and-Win program and some small requests from the Great Escape on the Lake team.
Instructions
- Step 1 (Optional) If you have an open seat, actively invite others to join your game.
- Step 2 As you are unboxing the game, have each player write their name and e-mail on the provided sign-up sheet.
- Step 3 Play the game.
- Step 4 (Optional) Post a picture to social media (Facebook) of your group playing the game. Be sure to tag the game publisher, #GEOTL25, and @communityboardgamenetwork. Check the box on the registration sheet if completed.
- Step 5 (Optional) Leave a review of the game on BoardGameGeek.com. Check the box on the registration sheet if completed.
- Step 6 Put the game back into the box and return it to the Play-and-Win table.
- Step 7 A winner will be randomly chosen from those that played the game, and will be posted in the Play-to-Win location following the feast on Saturday night (hopefully no later than midnight). Play-to-Win signups must be done prior to 10pm Sat. evening.
By posting to social media and leaving reviews on BoardGameGeek.com you are helping to ensure the continuation of this program. We appreciate your help as we continue to grow Great Escape on the Lake as a convention for gamers like you.
Play-and-Win will be ending Saturday at 10pm. As long as you have started a game by 10pm Sat, it may be included…you may take as long as you like to finish the game. We will do our best to post winners on the wall near the Play-to-Win table by Midnight Sat. so everyone can check them out and pick up their winnings first thing Sunday morning! Prizes must be picked up by close of the convention on Sunday at 6pm.

The Community Board Game Network is a not-for-profit initiative that utilizes board gaming, adventure, and creativity to add value to local communities. Funds are used to operate and support Great Escape on the Lakes, with a focus on keeping participation accessible and fairly supporting those who help bring the event to life.
